Our Team

Flavio

Flavio is a research postgraduate, and currently conducting his PhD at Imperial College London and ONERA under a research grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR).

He graduated with a Master in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London in 2021 with Honours.

His main research interests are in aero-thermodynamics, fluid flow modelling and transition to turbulence, both at a fundamental level and for industrial design applications. His work appeared at worldwide recognised international conferences, such as the American Physical Society (APS) DFD meetings in Indianapolis 2022 and Salt Lake City 2024, the ERCOFTAC SIG workshop in Alghero 2023, the AFOSR Annual Review meeting in Minneapolis 2024, the IUTAM Symposium in Nagano 2024, and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) SciTech meeting in Orlando 2024.

Flavio is also an experienced teaching assistant at the Department of Aeronautics at Imperial, and academic tutor and consultant for students from all around the world. He has tutored IB/A-level Maths and Physics, supervised applications to engineering degrees in the UK including personal statement writing, CV formatting and admission tests (e.g. ESAT). He has also taught further Physics and Maths for prospective STEM students.

Communication, commitment, respect and cultural openness are the building blocks of the work ethics of Flavio.

Annie

Annie is a modern languages graduate from the University of Oxford (BA) and the University of Cambridge (MPhil), where she was a musician, student journalist, and translator for a major philanthropic organisation. She received a distinction grade in all components of her master’s course, was awarded the prize for highest overall academic achievement at her school, and was shortlisted for a nationwide essay competition run by Cambridge University. Since 2018, Annie has successfully guided a number of pupils to success in their GCSE and A-level preparation, as well as university applications; her previous students have secured offers from prestigious universities such as Oxford, Exeter, and Edinburgh. Annie is currently working as a professional teacher of English as a foreign language in Cambridge (CELTA), where she continues to support learners of diverse backgrounds to reach their fullest potential. She has a learner-centred approach guided by high student involvement and adaptability to their needs and interests. With her previous experience of language teaching, her academic credentials, and warm teaching presence, she is an excellent tutor to support you with your language-learning needs.

Katy

Katy graduated with an MLitt from the School of Divinity at the University of St Andrews and holds an MA (Hons) from the same institution. She is currently a teacher at a school in London.

She is able to tutor A-Level Religious Studies, and GCSE English, Psychology, and Religious Studies. She can also teach any topic for pre-school or primary, as well as pre-GCSE secondary students.

As well as her knowledge of English qualifications, she also holds a 300 +hour Level 5 TEFL qualification and has over 3 years’ experience teaching English as a second language to all ages. She has studied modules including online teaching and business English and is also able to advise on the English school system, including University admissions and advice.
